Alex Gallitano (he/him) is an award-winning Director of Photography whose work spans commercials, features, episodic, and music videos. Alex was mentored by Geoffrey Erb, ASC while attending NYU Tisch School of the Arts. He also studied within an immersive international film program at FAMU in Prague. Alex spent his early career working on the lighting teams of major motion pictures such as The Wolf of Wall Street, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and Skeleton Twins. His narrative work has screened at festivals internationally including his latest feature film, The Mirror Game. Alex’s 2nd Unit work includes the acclaimed HBO film Reality, starring Sydney Sweeney. In 2020, Alex was a contributor to Chronicle, an art film curated by Ellen Kuras, ASC, which documented the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the widespread protests for racial justice. He has lensed award-winning music videos for artists such as Cautious Clay, Third Eye Blind, Squid, Protomartyr, and Making Movies. His broadcast commercials for major brands such as Ikea, Geico, Tic Tac, Tostitos, Lenovo, BarkBox, Keurig, and many others have aired globally.

Alex Gallitano is based in New York City and is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild IATSE Local 600.
